Consultant Teachers
At the beginning of the first semester, upon proposal of the Steering Committee, a Consultant Professor is appointed for each student who is attending the Programme. The student collaborates with the Consultant Professor for the preparation of his / her individual curriculum and later on for the selection of the subject of Postgraduate Dissertation.
Library and Information Center (LIC)
The AUA Library & Information Centre has a reading room, the maximum capacity of which is 80 users. It has 20 PC stations with Internet access and is open daily from morning to early evening. Students can study either in private or in groups, complying with the Library regulations.
The main Library area is also equipped both with PC stations, as well as with private study areas for users who prefer to study or do research there.
The aim of the Career Services Office is to:
- Provide support to AUA students and graduates on Agriculture education & training and Agriculture career opportunities.
- Network the AUA with companies/organizations of the agricultural sector, supporting graduates on their job search.
- Promote the AUA Departments and Degrees in the labor market and provide high school students with information on agricultural studies offered by the AUA.
- Carry out case studies regarding AUA graduates’ employability and the current situation in the labor market within the agricultural sector.
- Undertake the publication and distribution of information booklets, and the organization of seminars and workshops on career issues.
- Organize the “Career Days”, offering job opportunities for AUA graduates through interviews conducted by companies/organizations in the agricultural sector.
- Organize individual or team counseling to students with learning difficulties/disabilities
Cultural Clubs
AUA students as well as administration personnel are offered the opportunity to participate to the following cultural clubs:
- Music club
- Theater club
- Dance club
The clubs have regular meetings coordinated by trainers and their work is often presented to the audience in AUA events.
Sports
The University encourages sport actions and activities. In campus there is a gym and sport facilities for students and staff members. In particular, there is one basketball court, one volleyball court, two tennis courts, one indoor gym with an exercise room (110 m2), a fully equipped fitness hall (328 m2) and separate changing rooms for men and women.
AUA participates in Universiades and Panhellenic Student Championships with notable achievements of students in swimming, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, field sports and chess.
Health care
Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students, who lack access to other healthcare, are eligible to full healthcare to the National Health System through the University. The terms, conditions and process of healthcare provision are prescribed by Presidential Decree by the Ministry of Economics, Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, and the Ministry of Health.
In the University there is an Infirmary . Visiting hours: daily from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm.
