Dr. Dimitris Manolopoulos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), and Director of the English-taught Undergraduate Program in International Business and Technology (IBT). He holds a degree in Public Administration from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in International and European Economic Studies from AUEB, and a Ph.D. from the University of Reading, UK.
He has received multiple teaching excellence awards from AUEB for the quality of his teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. His research interests focus primarily on international strategies and the management of corporate resources. His work has been published in leading international academic journals, including the Journal of Business Ethics, International Business Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of International Management, and Management International Review, among others. His article “An Evaluation of Employee Motivation in the Extended Public Sector of Greece,” published in Employee Relations, was selected by Emerald Publishing as one of the best studies in Human Resource Management in 2008.
His scholarly contributions include books and monographs on business internationalization and Foreign Direct Investment in Greece. Prior to his academic career, he worked as a strategic consultant at Planet Ernst & Young S.A. and as a strategy executive at the Public Power Corporation (PPC) of Greece. He has also delivered numerous seminars on corporate strategy, business administration, and human resource management.
