Dr. Anastasios Aktypis is Lecturer of Dairy Microbiology in the Department of Food Science and Technology of Agricultural University of Athens. He is responsible for the course of “Dairy Microbiology” in the undergraduate program studies of “Food Science and Human Nutrition” Faculty, and he also gives lectures in Postgraduate Degree Programs. His research interests lie on the field of Lactic Acid Bacteria, with emphasis on physiology, metabolism, fermentation and technological performance. He has participated in a number of National and European research Projects, referee in scientific journals in the areas of Dairy Technology and Microbiology and member of scientific societies.
